Everyone hates them.
It took my wife to turn me from the sinister dark side of alarm clock control. When I first met her, I thought she was some sort of a weirdo that she wouldn't use an alarm clock. After all, she did have a minor in psychology and we all know that only people with disfunctional history major or minor in this subject. So it all made sense until she talked me in to ditching the alarm clock.
Perhaps it was some strange psychology experiment and I was the naive test subject, but I did it. I broke the mental hold that the alarm clock had held over me for so many years! Freedom! I had never felt more in touch and in control. No longer did I have to worry about whether I would wake up or how many times I pressed the snooze? Setting the other alarm clock across the room became something I only read about in fiction novels. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!
The basic element of this elusive freedom is trust. Trust your body to tell you when to wake and when to sleep. The key is to not ignore what your body is telling you. When you are tired...GO TO BED! You want to wake up at 5:30 AM? Then before you go to sleep, tell yourself that you wish to wake at 5:30 AM. You will! When you wake up, get up and start your morning routine. If you don't have a routine, then get one. Your body will operate better if it knows what to expect.
If you don't trust yourself, then trust a person who has been a proud member of CAAC for almost 15 years. It is well worth it!
(note: CAAC yearly dues are only $119. A small price to pay for freedom, don'tcha think?)

An interesting thought. My young children always get up the same time of day regardless. I guess we are programmed that way.
Matt...I believe you but I am afraid. I want to wait until my day off to try it (just in case) but then again, I don't want to wake up at 5:30 on my day off just to see if I can. Do you see how tough this is?
