Miscellaneous Thoughts

Well, Thomas (23 months) escaped from his crib this morning at about 7:30 AM. Always something on a Saturday to disturb the one day I can sleep in. The thud of him hitting the floor is what woke me, I think. Or perhaps is was Beth that woke me...not sure.

They say you are not liable for your actions in the first 30 seconds after waking. Not sure where I heard that, but it sounds good to me. Luckily, I managed to get out of bed and to his bedroom without running into any walls or door jambs. Thomas, as expected for his first tumble from the rack, was crying and at the door by the time I got there. Thankfully, not hurt!

So what does one do when the child masters climbing from the crib...get out the toddler bed, of course. So my day has been filled with disassembly of the crib and assembly of the toddler bed, intermixed with deciphering the complex storage jigsaw that I have created in the shed.

Overall, everything went well. Another chapter in our life past? Kind of sad in a way. These kids are growing up way too fast for my liking.
