Hope Fellowship
Before I post on this mornings service, I thought I should provide the reader some background on the church I and my family attend. Upon arriving in Longview, TX, I did what most Christians do when arriving in a new city...looked for a church. Since I grew up attending the Cass Lake, MN Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, I naturally gravitated toward the same denomination here in Longview. Upon meeting and subsequently marrying, we decided to attend Pinewood Alliance Church in Longview, originally started by Mr. R.G. LeTourneau. A perfect fit for a couple of LeTourneau University students. After a few years of attendance, the church sold the property and moved to the north side of the city, where we are today. As part of that move, we decided to change the name of the church to Hope Fellowship. A lot has happened recently with our church and I will share more as I have time. But enough on the history for now.
