Uncle Matt and Ella

Ella is an angel, she is my little niece.
Her deep blue eyes remind me of a priceless sapphire piece.

Perhaps a ring that past adorned a princess' hand so fair,
or pendant chain of yellow gold entwined in lovely hair.

She'll look at me unblinking, deep eyes of indigo;
piercing right down to my heart and causing love to grow.

I oft thank God for blessings that shower from His skies;
and that my favorite color, matches Ella's eyes.
