Well, life has been busy lately. We (I) finished painting our dining room. Let's just say the color (yellow) is a bit more brilliant than what we were going for. It pains me, because the paint job is perfect. The good thing is we now know not to go with that line of thinking next time we pick colors. Beth has picked a more subtle shade, which I like a lot. So we will throw some more paint up on the wall to see if it is more bearable.
The other task looming in front of me is replacing the sewer line between the house and the city line. Of course, it is about a million degrees outside every single day and the ground is literally harder than a brick. Not the best scenario for digging a three foot deep trench. Throw in a gas line and a water line that criss cross over everything and you can start to see the picture. I think I will take Thursday off and rent myself a trackhoe.
Spent yesterday helping some friends, Don and Melody, pack up to move. They are headed up to Michigan, where Don has just taken a job with Duncan Aviation. We will miss Melody as she is the only soprano on our worship team. Any volunteers out there?
Anyway, enough for now.
